Edison, NJ (Mar. 29, 2023) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announces that MAAC Senior Associate Commissioner/Basketball, Jordan Confessore, and MAAC Commissioner, Rich Ensor, will be presenting at the 2023 WBCA Convention on the topic of MTE’s.
MAAC Senior Associate Commissioner/Basketball, Jordan Confessore, and MAAC Commissioner, Rich Ensor, will participate in the 2023 WBCA Convention in a learning panel for the coaches entitled: Multi-Team Events: Basic Expectations.
The panel grew out of the issues surrounding the Women’s Las Vegas Invitational that was held at the Mirage Ballroom in November 2022. There were multiple operational and safety issues with the MTE that included an injured player waiting 45 minutes for medical transport. There was also an insufficient playing facility lacking some of the basic operational elements of Division I Basketball competition.
Confessore will be the panel’s moderator and she will be accompanied by ESPN analyst Debbie Antonelli, CEO of Basketball Travelers Inc., Nels Hawkinson, and MAAC Commissioner, Ensor.
The 2023 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Convention is set to take place March 30, through April 2, in Dallas, Texas.
