Grace Dobrzynski earns Offensive Player of the Week honors after she led the Saints with 11 points (five goals and six assists), two groundballs and one caused turnover in victories over St. Bonaventure and New Hampshire. The sophomore had two goals and five assists at St. Bonaventure and recorded three goals and an assist versus New Hampshire.
Defensive Player of the Week
Sabrina Krasner, Siena
Sr., Roseland, NJ, West Essex
Siena’s Sabrina Krasner made 23 saves, faced 51 shots, had a 10.50 goals-against average and a .522 save percentage, while securing 10 groundballs and causing one turnover in victories over St. Bonaventure and New Hampshire. Krasner had 12 saves and a .500 save percentage with six groundballs at St. Bonaventure and had 11 saves and a .550 save percentage with four groundballs and a caused turnover at home versus New Hampshire.
Rookie of the Week
Emma Mielke, Niagara
So., Thorton, CO, Horizon
Rookie of the Week, Emma Mielke, helped lead Niagara to a 2-0 week stopping 18 of 49 shots faced for a save percentage of .500. Mielke came on in relief against YSU on Thursday and helped Niagara complete the first-half comeback en route to an 18-11 win, finishing the game with five saves in 48 minutes of action. On Sunday, Mielke led Niagara to a 13-12 win over Binghamton stopping a career-high 12 shots.
The 2023 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship is a six-team, single-elimination tournament taking place April 30 - May 7, 2023. The Opening Round will take place on Sunday, April 30 and will be hosted by the third and fourth seeds. The semifinal and final are set for Friday, May 5 and Sunday, May 7, with the highest overall seed set to serve as host.
