Mount St. Mary’s Gilchrist & Elliot, Quinnipiac’s Smith, and Manhattan’s Stickdorn Claim MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Richard Gilchrist, Mount St. Mary’s
Gr., Harrisburg, PA, Harrisburg (SciTech Campus)
 
Richard Gilchrist had the top qualifying mark in the 110m hurdles at 14.14 seconds at the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton.  The finals were not contested due to the weather.  Gilchrist was also part of the Mount's 4x100m relay team that flirted with a school record with a time of 40.89 seconds that was good for a third-place finish.  That mark is second on the Mount's all-time list, and is the top time in the MAAC this year.
 
 
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Dante Elliot, Mount St. Mary’s
 
Dante Elliot won the high jump at the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton.  Elliot cleared 2.07m (6' 9.5") to move him to the top of the MAAC leaderboard.  Elliot's mark is eighth on the Mount's all-time top 10 list.
 
 
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Rylie Smith, Quinnipiac
So., Pittsburgh, PA, Seneca Valley
 
Rylie Smith ran a pair of MAAC-top times on Saturday, racing out to a 55.48 in the 400m to lead the league after the weekend. She also anchored the Bobcats' 4x400 relay that finished in 3:56.03, also a MAAC-best time.
 
 
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Kristin Stickdorn, Manhattan
Jr., Beckingen, USAFE
 
Kristin Stickdorn set a new school record in the weight throw at the Larry Ellis Invite. With her throw of 59.09m, Stickdorn, broke an eight-year-old record.
 
 
 
The 2023 MAAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 6-7, at Morgan Track in Emmitsburg, Maryland on the campus of Mount St. Mary’s University. The two-day meet will be hosted by The Mount for the first time in MAAC history.
