Lake Buena Vista, FL (Apr. 21, 2023) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s and Women’ s Golf Championships teed off this morning at Disney’s Palm Golf Course.
In men’s golf action, Iona University leads the field after round one of competition. The Gaels shot a first-round score of 284 (-4) to lead all men’s teams. Iona was led by the performances of Gonzalo Arcelay and Parker Smith who both shot a 70 (-2) on the day, which placed them tied for fourth place on the men’s individual leaderboard.
Quinnipiac leads the women’s field after day one of action with an overall team score of 291(+3). The favorites coming into the championships, The Bobcats were led by Fuge Zhang who shot a 70 (-2) on the day to finish third overall in the individual standings.
