Saint Peter’s Larsson and Quinnipiac’s Netzell Named First Wilson MAAC Men’s Soccer Weekly Award Winners for 2023

Daniel Larsson scored two goals for Saint Peter’s in the season-opener against Liberty on Thursday, Aug. 24. Larsson scored a pair of tallies in the Peacocks’ match and ended opening week as the only player in the conference with multiple goals.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Karl Netzell, Quinnipiac

Karl Netzell opened the 2023 season with a clean sheet draw for Quinnipiac on Aug. 24. In the Bobcats’ lone game against URI on Thursday, Netzell made six saves to maintain a shutout in a 0-0 tie.


The 2023 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship will take place from November 5-12. The six-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by the higher seed of each match. The opening round will take place on Sunday, November 5, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 9, and concluding with the championship match on Sunday, November 12.
