Quinnipiac’s Chochol and Lospinoso; Iona’s Rogers Collect Bob McCloskey Insurance MAAC Women’s Soccer Weekly Awards

Offensive Player of the Week
Courtney Chochol, Quinnipiac

Courtney Chochol registered two goals and two assists in two games this past week for the Bobcats. In the game against Stonehill, Chochol had a goal and two assists. In the conference opener against Niagara, Chochol scored the game's first goal, which stood as the game winning goal.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Sofia Lospinoso, Quinnipiac

Sofia Lospinoso started in net for the Bobcats' two games this past week and recorded two clean sheets. The first one being a 5-0 win against Stonehill and the second being a 4-0 win over Niagara. Lospinoso made one save in the winning effort over Niagara.

Rookie of the Week
Savannah Rogers, Iona

Freshman goalkeeper Savannah Rogers led Iona to a 1-1 draw against Mount St. Mary's in her first MAAC game of the season. Rogers made seven saves on eight shots on goal in the tie.
 
The 2023 MAAC Women's Soccer Championship will take place from October 29 through November 5. The six-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by the higher seed of each match. The opening round will take place on Sunday, October 29, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 2, and concluding with the championship match on Sunday, November 5.
