Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Henrik Winkelmann, Siena, Men’s Soccer
Jr., Ostercappeln, Germany Ernst-Moritz-Arndt Gymnasium
A three-year starter and captain on Siena's back line, Winkelmann earned First Team All-MAAC honors last year, was a member of the MAAC All-Rookie squad two years ago, and was named to the Preseason All-MAAC team prior to this season. The German product netted a goal and an assist during his freshman season and scored the Saints' second goal of the year with a transition strike at UConn on September 4. A member of both the MAAC All-Academic Team and MAAC Academic Honor Roll, he holds a 3.98 cumulative GPA as a Business Analytics major, and was both an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar and CSC Academic All-District selection during the 2022-23 year.

Maya Walker, Fairfiled, Women’s Volleyball
Soph., Stone Mountain, Ga. / Decatur HS
Maya Walker currently ranks second in the MAAC with 1.08 blocks per set, leading Fairfield to the top of the MAAC with 2.19 blocks per stanza as a team. Walker also ranks second in the MAAC in hitting percentage at .309 en route to 1.42 kills and 2.04 points per set. Academically, Walker is a Dean’s List student as a Behavioral Neuroscience major.
