Camil Azzam Ruiz recorded Iona’s first hat trick since 2013, in a 3-2 win over Stony Brook last Monday. Azzam Ruiz scored his first goal in the 34th minute, to put the Gaels ahead 1-0. He struck again in the 62nd minute and in the 67th minute to add a key insurance tally. Azzam Ruiz became the sixth Iona player in the last 23 years to notch a hat trick.

Luca Bulfon, Marist

Luca Bulfon earned a shutout in an impressive performance against Florida Atlantic University on Friday. Bulfon stopped all five shots on goal against the Owls, leading to a 0-0 draw. It was the first clean sheet for Bulfon as a Red Fox.
 
Rookie of the Week

The First Year midfielder scored the first goal of his collegiate career in a 3-1 win over Boston College on Monday, Aug. 28th. His tally, which came in the 35th minute of the match stood as the game-winner.
 
The 2023 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship will take place from November 5-12. The six-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by the higher seed of each match. The opening round will take place on Sunday, November 5, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 9, and concluding with the championship match on Sunday, November 12.
