Junior Joseph Stewart competed in three events in a dual meet with the University of Hawaii, highlighted by his second-place finish in the 200 free (1:40.71) which just off the winning time of 1:40.13. He also secured another second-place swim in the 200 IM (1:57.67) in addition to competing in the 50 free, (21.75).
Men’s Diver of the Week:
Dillon O’Connor, Fairfield

Junior Dillon O'Connor was the Stags top diver in the 1-meter event during a dual meet with the University of Hawaii. The junior tallied 285.75 points during his six-dive rotation. He followed up with a third-place finish overall in the 3-meter dive, accumulating 253.12 points which also represented the top point total by a Stag in the event.
Women’s Swimmer of the Week:
Tone Sandsjo, Fairfield
Fr., Visby, Sweden, Filburnaskolan
First year Tone Sandsjo highlighted the Stags meet at the University of Hawaii, taking second place in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:03.69. She followed up with a third-place swim in the 100 IM by completing the distance in 1:02.39. She completed the meet with another second-place finish in the 50 breaststroke, registering a time of 29.81 which just off the winning time of 29.71.
Women’s Diver of the Week:
Lia Oppenheim, Fairfield
Jr., Sudbury, Mass., Lincoln-Sudbury
Junior Lia Oppenheim was the Stags' top 3-meter dive scorer in a dual meet against the University of Hawaii. The junior scored 217.42 points over six dives at 3 meters. She also competed in the 1-meter dive, posting 196.12 points over six dives.
The 2024 MAAC Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships is a four-day meet that will take place February 14-17, 2024 at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
