Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Greg Gordon, Iona, Men's Basketball
Jr., Chicago, IL, Dyersburg State CC (TN)
 
In a close game over the weekend against Niagara, Gordon led all scorers with 24 points shooting 12-of-17 from the field, He added four rebounds, four steals and two assists. His 24 points were a new season high and was the first time he has scored over 20 points all season. The Chicago native’s four steals and 12 field goals made were also season highs. 
 
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Anajah Brown, Siena, Women's Basketball
Jr., Norristown, PA, The Baldwin School

A three-year member of the women's team and two-year team captain, Brown averages 8.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per-contest this season through 11 games, while ranking second in the MAAC in blocks per-game (1.36) and third in total blocks (15). A Third-Team All-MAAC selection and finalist for the Siena Female Student Athlete of the Year award last season, she has made 42 starts in 63 total appearances with a career average of 7.7 points, 5.8 boards, and 67 total blocks. The Norristown, Pennsylvania product holds a 3.12 cumulative GPA as a political science major, and posted a 3.54 mark during the Fall 2023 semester.
