Rider’s Lane and Quinnipiac’s O'Donnell Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Nicholas Lane, Rider, Men's Swimming and Diving
Jr., Hackettstown, NJ, Lane Academy
 
Lane helped the Broncs 200-medley relay break the Coppola Pool record, swimming the fly as the team posted a time of 1:31.49. Lane also owns the second-fastest time in the MAAC this season in the 100-fly at 48.83. He has done all this while maintaining a 3.854 GPA.
 
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Ella O'Donnell, Quinnipiac, Women's Basketball
Soph., Shankill, Ireland, Rathdown HS

Ella O'Donnell averaged 14.5 points and 12 rebounds in two games this past week. In Quinnipiac's game at Mount St. Mary's, O'Donnell led the Bobcats with 15 points and 14 rebounds for a double double. O'Donnell followed up with another double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds) in Quinnipiac's win over Iona. O'Donell is fourth on the team in scoring (10.2 points), tied for first in rebounds (6.2 per game) and third in assists (26). Ella has started all 14 games for the Bobcats so far this season.
