Women’s Track Performer of the Week:
Jordan O'Neill, Rider
Sr., Langhorne, PA, Neshaminy
 
Distance runner Jordan O'Neill finished 19th in the 3000m at the nationally competitive John Thomas Terrier Invitational running, 9:37.03.  Her time broke the Rider Record by 9 seconds. It is also an ECAC qualifier. She also anchored the distance medley relay to a 4th place finish in 11:44.12. It is an ECAC qualifying mark, the #4 mark all time at Rider, the #1 time in the MAAC this year by over 45 seconds.
 
Men’s Track Performer of the Week:
Artie Burgess, Rider
Sr., Coatesville, PA, Coatesville
 
Senior Artie Burgess ran 48.39 in the 400m at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational. It is an IC4A qualifier, the #3 time all time at Rider, and the #1 time in the MAAC. He also ran the 400m leg on the distance medley relay that broke the Rider Record running 9:49.94. It is an IC4A qualifying mark and the #1 time in the MAAC by over 39 seconds.
 
The 2024 MAAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24-25, 2024, at the Nike Track and Field Center at The Armory in New York, New York. The two-day meet will be hosted by Manhattan College and will be held at The Armory for the 20th consecutive year. With 11 institutions strongly bound by the sound principles of quality and integrity in academics and excellence in athletics, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is in its 43rd year of competition during the 2023-24 academic year. Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
