Fairfield’s Goodine and Niagara’s Henderson Claim Hercules Tires MAAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors

Brycen Goodine was electric in a 2-0 week for the Stags, averaging 27.0 points in 29.5 minutes per game off the Fairfield bench. He shot 18-26 (.692) from the floor, 11-17 (.647) from three-point range and 7-9 (.778) from the stripe. Goodine's performance was highlighted by the nation's first 40-point non-overtime game this season in the Friday win at Siena. Goodine canned eight three-pointers, shooting 13-18 from the field overall, to power the Stags past the Saints. He added 14 points on 5-8 shooting with three triples in Sunday's win over Marist.

Ahmad Henderson II, Niagara

Henderson helped lead Niagara to two wins in MAAC action this past weekend as he averaged 12.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. Henderson scored 10 points in a win over Manhattan and 14 in the Purple Eagles’ comeback win at Iona. He finished the week shooting 40.0 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from the perimeter.
 
The 2023-24 campaign culminates with the 2024 Hercules Tires MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships from March 12-16 at Atlantic City's Historic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall for the fifth consecutive year dating back to 2020.
