Marist’s Conable, Fairfield’s Cataldo, Niagara’s Killion, and Siena’s Murray Secure Jersey Mike’s MAAC Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards

Men’s Swimmer of the Week
James Conable, Marist

James Conable had an outstanding performance in the Red Foxes first MAAC meet against Canisius. Conable led the Red Foxes with three first-place finishes enroute to their 154-117 win. Conable placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:42.44, almost two seconds ahead of the second-place finisher at 1:44.12. Conable also swam his way to a first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke. Conable finished in first with a time of 1:51.82. To finish the individual events, Conable placed first in the 200-yard IM. The 1:54.12 time finished gave Conable his third win of the meet. The three wins tallied to 27 of the Red Foxes 154 points.
 
Men’s Diver of the Week
Andrew Cataldo, Fairfield
So., Albany, NY, The Albany Academy
 
Andrew Cataldo picked up two second-place finishes in a dual meet with Bryant University. He posted 240.60 points in the 1-meter dive and followed up with 225.75 pointsin the 3-meter dive.
  
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Natalie Killion, Niagara
So., Lockport, NY, Lockport
 
Sophomore Natalie Killion stood out with individual wins in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:23.53), setting a program and pool record in the process, and 200-yard backstroke (2:04.13). She was also a member of the 400 free relay (3:33.54) team that sealed the win for NU.
 
Women’s Diver of the Week
Sydney Murray, Siena
So., Avon, NY, Avon
 
Sydney Murray finished as Siena's top performer in the 3-meter dive in the team's meet at Rhode Island on Saturday. Murray scored 212.78 in the event, and also posted a score of 191.03 in the 1-meter dive earlier in the meet.
 
The 2025 MAAC Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships is a four-day meet that will take place February 12-15, 2025, and will be hosted at SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio. 2025 will mark the second straight year the championships are hosted at SPIRE.
