Men’s Runner of the Week
Matthew Vene, Sacred Heart

Vene posted a top team finish for the first time this season, grabbing a 21st overall finish at the Brown University Bear Invitational on Saturday. Vene finished the 8k course in a time of 27:00.82 which was his second-fastest time in the 8k this season as he aided the Pios to a third-place overall team finish.
 
Women’s Runner of the Week
Grace DelGiorno, Sacred Heart
So., Morris Plains, NJ, Morristown
 
DelGiorno grabbed her second-consecutive top team finish for the Pioneers, grabbing a fourth-place overall finish at the Brown University Bear Invitational on Saturday. DelGiorno finished the 6k course with a time of 22:53.26. DelGiorno was just six seconds off what would have been her first podium placement in her collegiate career as the Pioneer sophomore helped clinch a second-place finish for the Pios overall.
 
The 2024 MAAC Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, New York on Saturday, November 2, 2024. The men’s 8k race will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the women’s 6k race will follow at 12:00 p.m. 2024 will mark the second straight year that the championship races will be held at Twin Ponds on the Farm and the meets will be hosted by Manhattan University for the 30th time.
