Akongo scored his team-leading sixth goal of the year for the game-winner in the 78th minute at Fairfield. He knocked in the rebound of Adel Al Masude's shot that was saved off the left post on one touch. He now leads the Broncs in both goals (6) and points (16).
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Julian Marcos, Mount St. Mary's
Jr., Tandil, Argentina, Colegio Estudiantes de la Plata
 
Marcos earned a clean sheet against Niagara to help the Mount maintain their first place ranking in the MAAC (tied with Siena at 3-0-1). He four saves including two denials of high corner shots by the Purple Eagles. 
 
Rookie of the Week
Chris Verheul, Marist
Fr., Steenderen, Netherlands, Rietveld Lyceum
 
Chris Verheul continued his impressive rookie season in the Red Foxes 2-0 win against Quinnipiac. Verheul delivered the game-sealing goal in the 87th minute of the match for the Red Foxes. Verheul's goal was his second goal of the 2024 season.
 
The 2024 MAAC Men’s Soccer Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 10-17, 2024. Each match during the championship will be hosted by the higher seed and all rounds of the championship will reseed. The quarterfinals will take place on Sunday, November 10, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 14, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 17.
