In two meets Faughnan won four individual events and was part of four relay wins. Against Holy Cross, he won the 500 freestyle (4:42.74) and the 100 backstroke (:49.50). Against Providence he took first in the 800 freestyle (8:45.77) and the 400 freestyle with a time of (4:07.88). Both of his splits in the 200 medley relay wins were sub 23 secs. (22.96 & 21.59).

Stavros Xantheas, Rider

Stavros Xantheas won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in Rider's dual meet against Marist. The sophomore scored 263.03 on the 3-meter, then followed up with a 251.25 on the 1-meter.
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Daphne Mead, Canisius
Fr., Baltimore, MD, Dulaney
Mead continued her torrid start in her rookie swimming campaign at SUNY Geneseo, taking first in the 100 backstroke (59.85), 200 IM (2:08.55) and breaking the Alumni Pool record in the 200 backstroke (2:06.41). Mead has won most of her races this season with seven first place finishes and four other podium finishes.
Women’s Diver of the Week
Lola Barrett, Sacred Heart
Sr., Wakefield, MA, Wakefield Memorial
Lola Barrett led the Pioneers to a win over Stony Brook, 173-127. Barrett secured her second career NCAA Zone qualifying score in the 3M with her winning performance of 283.05 which currently leads the MAAC. She also finished second in the 1M with a score of 247.30.
The 2025 MAAC Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships is a four-day meet that will take place February 12-15, 2025, and will be hosted at SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio. 2025 will mark the second straight year the championships are hosted at SPIRE.
