Jersey Mike’s MAAC Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards Announced

Men’s Co-Swimmer of the Week
Tim Regan, Fairfield

Tim Regan helped the Stags take first place in the Fairfield Invitational by collecting two first-place finishes and assisting the 400 free relay collect the best time in its race. He opened the day by taking first place in the 200 free by touching the wall in 1:53.83. He came back later in the Invitational with a top finish in the 400 free, posting a time of 4:07.75. He capped his day by leading off the 400 free relay as the group took first with a time of 3:33.18.
 
Men’s Co-Swimmer of the Week
Sean Finley, Niagara
Jr., Manhattan, ILLincoln Way West High School
 
Finley, a graduate student, dominated the two breaststroke events he swam in against St. Bonaventure. Finley was victorious in both races, winning the 100-yard (57.39) and 200-yard (2:06.55) races.
 
Men’s Diver of the Week
Andrew Cataldo, Fairfield
So., Albany, NY, The Albany Academy
 
Andrew Cataldo secured a first-place and second-place finish during the two diving events at the Fairfield Invitational. He started the night with a second-place point total of 224.10 in the 1 meter dive, just seven-plus points off the top spot. He came back to take first place in the 3 meter event, collecting 257.78 points which was 29-plus points better than the runner up.
  
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Alaina Pitton, Niagara
So., Portland, OR, Jesuit High School
 
Alaina Pitton led the women's team against St. Bonaventure, securing three first-place finishes. The sophomore won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.43), 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.91), and 200-yard individual medley (2:08.34). Her 100 and 200 breast times were good enough to break the Niagara program record. She was also a member of the winning 200-yard medley relay team (1:44.82) alongside Natalie Killion, Maria Mitova and Paige South.
 
Women’s Co-Diver of the Week
Maiti O'Connor, Rider
So., South Plainfield, NJ, The Wardlaw-Hartridge School
 
O'Connor won the 1-meter at Rider's dual meet with Seton Hall, scoring 230.02, the best score in the MAAC this season. She also scored 203.70 on the 3-meter to place third at the meet.
 
Women’s Co-Diver of the Week
Sinclair Yadao, Sacred Heart
1Y., Sacramento, CA, St. Francis Catholic
 
First year Sinclair Yadao cracked the Sacred Heart top five all-time records with her 1M performance in her first collegiate meet with a score of 229.60 finishing fourth against UConn and Southern Connecticut State. In the same night she won the 3M board with a score of 230.65. At the Fairfield Invite, she won both the 1M and 3M events with a score of 238.88 and 254.48, respectively.
 
The 2025 MAAC Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships is a four-day meet that will take place February 12-15, 2025, and will be hosted at SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio. 2025 will mark the second straight year the championships are hosted at SPIRE.
