Lauren Hubert, Canisius

Sophomore Lauren Hubert led the Golden Griffins to two victories this past weekend with two double-doubles as the team secured the four seed in the 2024 MAAC Volleyball Championship. Over the two matches, the Buffalo, N.Y. native amassed 35 kills in eight sets played. Hubert notched 14 kills on 29 swings to hit for .379 while also tallied 10 digs defensively. On Sunday, the sophomore tied her career-high with 21 kills while adding 13 digs on the defensive end.
Setter of the Week
Chloe Ka'ahanui, Quinnipiac
Gr., Honolulu, Hawaii, Punahou School
Graduate student setter Chloe Ka'ahanui appeared in both matches for the Bobcats this past weekend to help lead them to two more conference victories to wrap up the regular season. Ka'ahanui registered 62 assists in seven sets for an average of 8.86 assists per set. Ka'ahanui also recorded seven kills, 18 digs, two aces, and 11 total points.
Libero of the Week
Jillian Hanna, Canisius
Sr., Kent, Ohio, Roosevelt/Marist
Senior Jillian Hanna led the Golden Griffins to two victories this past weekend en route to securing the four seed in the 2024 MAAC Volleyball Championship. The senior, who also serves as team captain, tallied 47 digs (5.88 digs/set), six aces (0.75 aces/set) while also recording 1.13 points/set. Hanna recorded 19 digs to go with two aces on Saturday night in a road sweep of Marist before notching 28 digs and a season-high tying four service aces in a five set come-from-behind victory at Siena on Sunday afternoon.
Rookie of the Week
Salme Adeele Hollas, Siena
R.-Fr., Tartu, Estonia, Hugo Treffneri Gümnaasium
Outside hitter Salme Adeele Hollas totaled 28 kills on a .238 hitting percentage with 32 digs, seven blocks, two aces and two assists versus Niagara and Canisius over the weekend
The 2024 MAAC Volleyball Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 21-24, 2024 at UHY Center in Loudonville, NY on the campus of Siena College. The first round will take place on Thursday, November 21, followed by the second round on Friday, November 22, the semifinals on Saturday, November 23, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 24.
