Tanner Thomas had 18 points and 5 rebounds, leading Sacred Heart to a 67-54 victory over Central Connecticut in the Pioneers lone game of the week. He went 8-for-13 from the field and 2-for-4 from three-point range in Sacred Heart's newly renovated arena's opening night.

Makuei Riek, Fairfield
R-Fr., Rochester, MN, Mayo/We Are United Prep School (MO)
Makuei Riek entered the Naismith Hall of Fame Tip-Off having never scored a point in his collegiate career and left the weekend as the Stags' leading scorer at the event. He averaged 11.5 points per game along with 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists as the Stags faced a pair of reigning conference champions, falling to Yale before bouncing back with a win over Vermont.
