EDISON, NJ (Nov. 4, 2024) – The 2024-25 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s basketball regular season tips-off today, Monday, November 4 with 12 teams taking the hardwood. Overall, all 13 member schools will be in action during opening week.
 
Monday’s slate will feature a trio of home MAAC games and a pair of contests against AP Top-25 teams. All games run from 5:00 p.m. through 10:30 p.m. ET with a quartet of 7:00 p.m. primetime games to lead the way.
 
The three teams starting their campaigns at home today include Mount St. Mary’s, Niagara, and Siena. The Purple Eagles will host Houghton at 6:30 p.m., while the Mountaineers welcome Notre Dame (MD) and Siena plays Brown, both tipping off at 7:00 p.m.
 
Facing off against AP Top-25 units will be both Canisius and Rider. The Golden Griffins travel to Tucson, AZ to face No. 10 Arizona at 10:00 p.m. The Broncs head to Los Angeles, California to meet No. 22 UCLA at 10:30 p.m.
 
The remaining seven teams in action on opening day feature Fairfield, Iona, Manhattan, Marist, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, and Saint Peter’s. Tipping ahead of primetime are the Red Foxes who play at Harvard at 5:00 p.m. and the Pioneers who take on Temple at 5:30 p.m. The remaining two 7:00 p.m.  slots include the Jaspers at Maryland and the Gaels at Princeton. Saint Peter’s visits Seton Hall at 7:30 p.m., while both the Stags battle URI and the Bobcats face Yale at 8:00 p.m.

The season continues Wednesday, November 6, with Sacred Heart competing with two-time defending national champion, and No. 3 nationally ranked UConn at 7:00 p.m. in Storrs, CT.
 
The lone MAAC team not in action on opening day is Merrimack, which season commences on Saturday, November 9 when they play host to Vermont at 7:00 p.m.
