EDISON, NJ (Nov. 4, 2024) – The 2024-25 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) women’s basketball regular season commences today, Monday, November 4 with seven squads in action. In total, all 13 member schools take the court on opening week.
Monday’s docket will feature six road contests and one home game. Saint Peter’s officially gets the new season underway with a 2:00 p.m. afternoon tipoff at St. John’s. A trio of games begin at 6:00 p.m., which include the lone home game on the schedule for the day, which will be Rider against Navy. Also in the same time slot is Merrimack at Bryant and Quinnipiac visiting Holy Cross. Manhattan will travel to Rutgers for a 7:00 p.m. start. The final two contests are set for 7:30 p.m. and they feature Fairfield at Arkansas and Sacred Heart at Hofstra.
Three teams start their campaigns on the road on Tuesday, November 5. Canisius plays at Pitt (6:00 p.m.), Iona plays at UCF (7:00 p.m.), and Niagara plays at Syracuse (7:00 p.m.).
Siena will be the MAACs standalone team playing on Wednesday, when the Saints host Army at 6:00 p.m.
The final two MAAC teams to take the floor this season will be Marist and Mount St. Mary’s, on Thursday, November 7. The Red Foxes travel to Philadelphi to face Drexel and the Mount will head to Tampa, FL to meet South Florida, both at 7:00 p.m.
Additionally, on Saturday, November 9, Niagara plays at AP Top-25, No. 16 ranked West Virginia.
