EDISON, NJ. (Nov. 3, 2024)- The quarterfinals of the 2024 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship concluded with Fairfield, Quinnipiac, Canisius, and Manhattan advancing to the semifinal round. Games will be host by Fairfield University and Quinnipiac University on Thursday, November 7.

In an across-town matchup, the Stags were able to push past the Pioneers with a goal in the 57
th minute by midfielder Reagan Klarmann, assisted by Allie Kirby off a long throw. The Stags will play in the semifinals for the fourth-straight season, taking on Manhattan on Thursday at 7pm at Lessing Field.
Fairfield Notes
-Fairfield got 25 shots off against the Pioneer defense, with 13 of the shots were on goal.
-Klarmann’s goal was the sixth of the season and the 14th of her career. Six of those 14 goals have been game-winners.
Sacred Heart Notes
- Pioneer goalkeeper Kyran Thievon tallied 10 saves in goal on the day.
- Sacred Heart finished the season with a 3-11-5 record.

The Quinnipiac Bobcats topped Iona to secure their spot in the MAAC Semifinals. The lone Bobcat goal came in the 52nd minute when Aisling Spillane scored off an assist from teammates Courtney Chochol and Bianca D'Onofrio. Quinnipiac will host No. 3 Canisius in the semifinals on Thursday at 1pm in Hamden, CT.

-The Bobcat offense outshot the Gaels, 12-5.
-Spillane’s goal was her fourth goal of the season.
-Quinnipiac had six corner kicks on the day.
-In goal, Sophia Lospinoso had one save.
Iona Notes
-The Gaels had five shots on the day from fiver different players.
-In goal, Kayla Kalbaugh tallied three saves.
-The Gaels finish the season 6-10-5.

The Golden Griffins topped Merrimack, 2-0, to advance to the next round. Canisius will travel to Hamden, CT to take on No. 2 Quinnipiac on Thursday at 1pm.
Canisius Notes
-Two Griffs found the back of the net to secure Canisius’ victory. Lizzy Harkness scored coming out of halftime in the 46
th minute and Madeline Weltin scored in the 80
th minute, from a Harkness assist.
- Goaltender Jordan Spencer only faced one shot to secure her ninth shutout of the season.
-The Griffs notched 12 corner kicks.
Merrimack Notes
-Merrimack’s offense got three shots off against the Bobcat defense.
-Warrior goalkeeper Lily Morgan tallied eight saves on the day.
-Merrimack finished the season 7-9-3 overall.

th minute propelled the No. 5 Jaspers past Siena to secure their spot in the MAAC semifinals. Manhattan University will travel to Fairfield to take ono top-seeded Stags on Thursday at 7pm.
Manhattan Notes
-After a scoreless first half and most of the second, the Jaspers found a way to score when Olivia McMaster scored in the 88
th minute. Julia Nichoals tallied an assist.
-Manhattan offense go ten shots off against the Saints, six on goal.
-In goal, Molly Brunk had seven saves, obtaining her 11
th clean sheet of the season.
Siena Notes
-The Saint’s
held a 19-10 advantage in shots over the Jaspers and registered a season-high 12 corners.
-Megan Stowell led Siena in shots with seven, four were on goal.
-Goalkeeper Cate Burns had five saves on the day.
-Siena finishes the season 10-8-2.
The 2024 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 3-10, 2024. Each match during the championship will be hosted by the higher seed and all rounds of the championship will reseed. The quarterfinals will take place on Sunday, November 3, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 7, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 10.
