Offensive Player of the Week/Rookie of the Week
Andrew Monteserin, Quinnipiac

The first year forward, Andrew Monteserin, scored a brace in Quinnipiac’s 3-1 victory over Fairfield on Wednesday afternoon to help them clinch a playoff berth. Monteserin recorded the game tying tally and third goal for the Bobcats in the victory. In the 74th minute, he found an angle and fired it past the Fairfield goalkeeper to knot the score at one. In the 80th minute, he scored on a strike just from the top of the box to give the Bobcats insurance late in the contest.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Loukas Georgiou, Iona

Loukas Georgiou continued his stellar play in goal for the Iona University men’s soccer team to end the regular season. The junior made his second straight start for the Gaels and registered his first career shutout win as the Gaels earned a 4-0 victory over Saint Peter’s. Georgiou made a career-high five saves against the Peacocks. 
 
The 2024 MAAC Men’s Soccer Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 10-17, 2024. Each match during the championship will be hosted by the higher seed and all rounds of the championship will reseed. The quarterfinals will take place on Sunday, November 10, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 14, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 17.
