Men’s Track Athlete of the Week:

In the men's 60m hurdles, John Elie Jr. led the way finishing in first place with a time of 8.14 at the Early Bird Invite. With that, Elie holds the new school record in the 60m hurdles.
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week:
Jayden DuBard, Rider
Sr., Buffalo, NY, Cheektowaga
Senior thrower Jayden DuBard won both the weight throw and shot put at the Penn Opener. He threw 18.60m in the weight throw to break his own Rider Record. He threw 16.66m in the shot put. It is the #3 mark all time at Rider. Both events were IC4A qualifying marks. The shot put is top mark by 6 feet and the weight throw is the #2 mark in the MAAC by 6 inches.
Women’s Track Athlete of the Week:
Grace Medei, Rider
Sr., Bethlehem, PA, Notre Dame Green Pond
Senior distance runner Grace Medei ran 16:41.95 at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston to break the Rider record by over 14 seconds. It is an ECAC qualifier and her fastest time in the event by 70 seconds. It is also the top mark in the MAAC by over 40 seconds
Women’s Field Athlete of the Week:
Madelyn Valpy, The Mount
Jr., Edmonton, Alberta, Austin O'Brien
Junior jumper Madelyn Valpy reset the school record in the triple jump, winning the event at the Navy Invitational with a distance of 11.98 meters. Mark is also first among MAAC competitors. Also leads the MAAC for the long jump, taking second at Navy with 5.74 meters.
The 2025 MAAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 22-23, 2025, at the Nike Track and Field Center at The Armory in New York, New York. The two-day meet will be hosted by Manhattan College and will be held at The Armory for the 21st consecutive year dating back to 2004.
