Fairfield’s Condos and Quinnipiac’s Flower Named MAAC Men’s & Women’s Tennis Weekly Award Winners

Men’s Player of the Week:
Nick Condos, Fairfield

Condos went 2-0 at #3 singles for the Stags, winning the clinching point in Fairfield's team wins over Army West Point and Binghamton, both by scores of 4-2. He rallied from one set down on both occasions to defeat Army's Marcus Sebastian (4-6, 6-2, 6-3) and Binghamton's Filipe Costa (5-7, 6-4, 6-1). Condos also teamed with Tom Smart to play two competitive matches at #1 doubles, but neither contest was completed due to the doubles point being clinched.
 
Women’s Player of the Week:
Caitlin Flower, Quinnipiac

The First Year went 4-0 over two of the Bobcats last matches. In Quinnipiac's loss at UConn, she won her singles match at No. 4 6-4, 6-2 and won her doubles match 6-3. In the Bobcats win over Stonehill she won her singles and doubles matches, while only dropping one game total.
 
The 2024 MAAC Men's & Women's Tennis Championships will take place on April 20-21 at Mercer County Park Tennis Center in West Windsor, NJ. The 2024 Championships will be the 12th consecutive time the event is held at Mercer County Park Tennis Center dating back to the 2012 MAAC Men's & Women's Tennis Championships. Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
