Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Matthew Laframboise, Siena, Men’s Track & Field/Cross Country
5th Yr., Rochester, NY, Greece-Arcadia
A five-year member of the Siena Cross Country & Track program, Laframboise serves as a team captain this season, and recently set a school record for the Saints. The Rochester, New York native took down the record in the men's 1,000 on February 10 with a time of 2:24.97, and is also currently a school record-holder in the 4x800 relay, as well as fourth all-time in the 800 and 1500. Named the MAAC Male Runner of the Week on January 23, he is currently the fastest-runner in the 1,000 among MAAC competitors this indoor track season. A MAAC All-Academic Team and MAAC Academic Honor Roll member, Laframboise holds a 3.77 cumulative GPA in Applied Physics, and was also a CSC Academic All-District selection last season.
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Emina Selimovic, Fairfield, Women’s Basketball
Jr., Erie, PA, McDowell HS
With a 4.0 GPA, Emina Selimovic has been a leader on and off the court for the Fairfield University Women's Basketball team. On the court, Selimovic ranks fourth on the team in scoring with 8.7 points while grabbing the second most rebounds with 4.8 per contest. She has helped the Stags to a 21-1 record, the second-highest winning percentage in the nation.
