Marist Sweeps Rawlings MAAC Softball Weekly Awards

Pitcher of the Week
Kiley Myers, Marist

Kiley Myers tallied 16 strikeouts over 16.1 innings in four appearances this past week, closing the week with 7.2 straight scoreless innings. At Abilene Christian on Feb. 17, Myers went the distance in a 4-3 Marist victory. She finished the game with 5.1 scoreless innings, and had a career-high 10 strikeouts. The following day, Myers went 2.1 scoreless innings of relief against New Mexico, allowing just two hits while striking out two.
 
Player of the Week
Haley Ahr, Marist
R-So., Union Beach, NJ, St. John Vianney
 
Haley Ahr hit .375 (6-for-16) with a .974 OPS (.474 on-base, .500 slugging) in five games this past week. She drove in four runs, scored two, had two doubles, and was hit by a pitch. Ahr reached base safely in all five of Marist's contests. Against Houston Christian on Feb. 16, Ahr contributed a two-run double. In the Red Foxes' win over Houston Christian on Feb. 17, she went 3-for-4 with a run scored. In Marist's victory over Abilene Christian later that day, Ahr's two-run double tied the game in the top of the sixth, and the Red Foxes scored the winning run the next inning. Ahr also handled 25 fielding chances (22 putouts, three assists) without committing an error while starting at three different positions (shortstop, second base, and first base).
 
Rookie of the Week
Anna Sidlowski, Marist
Fr., Chadds Ford, PA, Garnet Valley
 
Anna Sidlowski contributed as a pitcher & hitter in her first week of collegiate action. She pitched a complete game with four strikeouts in Marist's 6-3 win over Houston Christian on Feb. 17. Later that day in a victory over Abilene Christian, Sidlowski started in center field and went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in the Red Foxes' 4-3 win over Abilene Christian. She then stole a base and scored a run the following day as a pinch-runner against New Mexico.
