Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Kyle Garbowski, Quinnipiac, Baseball

Kyle Garbowski got two starts in Quinnipiac's three game series at Liberty. In the first game against Liberty, Garbowski took over the shortstop duties early in the game. He went 1-for-3 and recorded his first collegiate hit. In his first collegiate start, Garbowski went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. In the final game of the series, Garbowski launched his first collegiate homer with a three-run blast which gave Quinnipiac a 4-2 lead at that time. He would go on to finish 1-for-3 at the plate with 3 RBIs and one walk.
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Kira Varada, Iona, Women's Lacrosse
Jr., Montrose, NY, Hendrick Hudson
In the Gaels first game of the season, Varada led the Maroon & Gold with four goals and two assists, she also added a team high nine draw controls. Added a ground ball and one caused turnover. The NY native was also 2-for-2 on free position chances. Varada and the Gaels are back in action on the road today at 2 pm against FDU
