Siena’s Seppala and Fairfield’s Andersen Pick Up Hercules Tires MAAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Award Honors

Sophomore guard Teresa Seppala averaged 24 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 57.1 percent from the floor, 6-10 from long range, and 10-12 from the free throw line over two games last week. She went for a career-high 29 points (9-17, 4-6 from three, 7-8 FT) while adding six rebounds, one assist, one block, and one steal against Fairfield, and then led the Saints to a road win at Saint Peter's with 19 points, eight boards, one assist, one block, two steals, 7-11 from the field, 2-4 from three, and 3-4 from the FT line.

Freshman “roadrunner” Meghan Andersen averaged a team-best 22.5 points per game and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 59 percent from the floor and 56 percent from 3-point range in a 2-0 week that helped the Stags clinch the MAAC Regular Season Championship. She averaged 4.5 3-pointers per game and 2.5 steals per game.
