Siena’s Eimont, Marist’s Pusey, and Niagara’s Moyer Pick Up Rawlings MAAC Softball Weekly Awards

Pitcher of the Week
Alissa Eimont, Siena

Saints pitcher Alissa Eimont held a perfect 0.00 ERA and a 3-0 record over 18.2 innings during five appearances at The Spring Games last weekend. She allowed only a single unearned run while striking out 18 batters. She also earned a save against Le Moyne, allowing just seven hits in five appearances.
 
Player of the Week
Peyton Pusey, Marist

Peyton Pusey hit .438 (7-for-16) with a 1.089 OPS (.526 on-base, .563 slugging) this past week as Marist went 4-1 at the Red & Black Classic, hosted by Gardner-Webb. Pusey scored nine runs, had two doubles, stole two bases, and drew three walks. She hit safely in all five games. In a win over Hampton on Feb. 23, Pusey went 2-for-4 with a double and three runs scored. In a win over Hampton the following day, she went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk, and a stolen base. Later that day, she singled, walked, and scored a run in a 3-0 win against a Gardner-Webb team that this season has defeated Indiana and has recorded two wins over Delaware. On Feb. 25, Pusey went 2-for-4 with three runs scored in a 6-2 triumph over Gardner-Webb.
 
Rookie of the Week
Selah Moyer, Niagara
Fr., Tiffin, OH
 
Freshman Selah Moyer led Niagara with a .462 average over the weekend, recording six hits, four runs scored, three RBI, and a home run. The first-year Purple Eagle reached base safely in each of her first five games, posting an OBP of .500. Two of her six hits went for extra bases and she added a stolen base to her box score.
