Joe Brennan, Manhattan, Swimming and Diving
Jr., Howard Beach, NY, Archbishop Molloy
Brennan, a MAAC All-Academic Team Member, is having a successful junior campaign. This past week, Brennan recorded a pair of first-place finishes. Ranked second in the MAAC and the Manhattan school record holder in the 100-yard breaststroke, he had a time of 54.70, he placed first in the 50-yard breast with a time of 26.48. He also placed first in the 100-yard free, finishing over three seconds ahead of second place with a time of 57.32.
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Brenna McLaughlin, Canisius, Swimming and Diving
Jr., Glenville, NY, Niskayuna/Stony Brook
Brenna McLaughlin has nine event wins on the season with hers being in the 100 back, the 200 back, the 200 IM, and the 400 IM. A native of Glenville, N.Y. McLaughlin, swept the 100 back, 200 back, and 200 IM in her first meet of the season against Marist. She followed that up by winning the 200 back and the 200 IM against both Siena and John Carroll. In the classroom, McLaughlin is a sport management major.
