Women’s Golfer of the Week

Megan Yoder turned in Dayton's top finish at the Low Country Intercollegiate hosted by Wofford March 15-17. She carded the team's low round of the tournament on Sunday, a one-over-par 73, on her way to a 24th place finish out of 89 competitors. For the weekend, Yoder turned in a score of 81-79-73=233 (+17).
 
Men’s Golfer of the Week
Ben Smith, Mount St. Mary's
Sr., Blain, Pa., West Perry
 
Senior Ben Smith took home first place at the Carpetbagger Classic hosted by Binghamton at Worthington Manor Golf Course in Frederick, Md.  Smith closed the tournament with a three-under round of 69 to finish in a tie for first place with Wagner’s Tyler Galantini.  Smith won the tiebreaker by having the lowest score on day two.  Smith opened the tournament with a 75 and finished the two-day event with an even par 144.  He helped lead the Mount to the team title.  The Mount tied with Rhode Island in the team score, but won the tiebreaker to collect the team title.
 
 
The 2024 MAAC Men's & Women's Golf Championships take place April 19-21, 2024 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The championships return to Disney's Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Florida for the 13th consecutive season dating back to 2011 and the 22nd time overall since 2000.
