Junior Emily Ilano went 4-5 with a walk for a .800 batting average in Canisius' doubleheader sweep of Mount St. Mary's. Ilano recorded three doubles and a home run with four RBI over the two games.
Pitcher of the Week
Megan Giese, Canisius
Sr., Buffalo, N.Y., Orchard Park
Senior pitcher MeganGiese went 2-0 on the weekend sweeping Mount St. Mary's by a combined score on 17-0. Giese pitched 12.0 innings only allowing three hits while striking out 14. She also went 2-4 at the plate with 3 RBI.
Co-Rookie of the Week
Anna Sidlowski, Marist
Fr., Chadds Ford, PA, Garnet Valley
Freshman Anna Sidlowski pitched a four-hit shutout and contributed as a hitter and fielder in Marist's three-game sweep of Quinnipiac. In the second game of the series on Friday, Sidlowski pitched a four-hitter, struck out two, and did not walk anyone in Marist's 2-0 triumph. She threw just 75 pitches, did not allow a hit after the fourth inning, and recorded 16 ground ball outs (five of which resulted in assists for her). In the other two games of the series, Sidlowski started in left field. She went 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI in Marist's 14-0 triumph in the series' third game.

Chela Kovar, Fairfield
Fr., Katy, Texas, Cinco Ranch
Chela Kovar earned her first collegiate win with a complete-game decision over Iona in the second game of a doubleheader. She tossed seven innings, fanned five hitters, and yielded three hits in Fairfield's 5-2 win. She returned to the pitching circle to pitch five scoreless innings in relief against Iona in the third game of the set, giving up four hits in the relief appearance. She also started in a non-conference game against Sacred Heart, pitching three-plus innings in the loss. For the week, she owned a 2.74 ERA.
