Mervin James, Rider

James averaged 22.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, shooting 51.7 percent (15-29) in the Broncs' first weekend sweep in Western New York since 2018-19. He went for 20 of his game-high 24 points at Niagara in the second half, including 14 points in the final 3:16 of regulation to ice the game. He also added five rebounds against the Purple Eagles. James then went for his fifth-straight game of 20 points or more with 20 points in a 65-61 win to snap Canisius' three-game winning streak. He also added three assists and three rebounds.
Rookie of the Week
De'Shayne Montgomery, Mount St. Mary’s

Montgomery continues to shine for the Mountaineers, averaging 16.5 points, 4.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds this week, shooting 11-of-17 (.647) from the field and 10-of-12 (.833) at the line. He capped the week with 25 points and five assists in the Mount's 91-72 win at Niagara, hitting 8-of-11 from the field and 8-of-8 at the line in the game. Montgomery posted eight points, four assists and four rebounds in the Mount's 61-56 loss to Canisius.
