Niagara’s Garlow, Siena’s Krasner, and Fairfield’s Haggerty Chosen as Ticket Smarter MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Award Winners

Offensive Player of the Week
Lois Garlow, Niagara
Gr., Cattaraugus Reservation, NY
 
Lois Garlow tallied a total of 16 points last week with eight goals and eight assists to lead Niagara to a 2-0 week. At Iona she scored four goals and added a career-high five assists and then at home vs. Rider she scored another four goals to go with three helpers. She also caused three turnovers and picked up two ground balls on the week.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Sabrina Krasner, Siena
Gr., Roseland, NJ, West Essex

Krasner picked up two more MAAC victories in net for Siena last week. She led the Saints to a 13-7 win at Marist and a 7-6 victory versus Mount St. Mary's. Krasner recorded a 6.52 goals-against average with 20 saves and a .606 save percentage.
 
Rookie of the Week
Kelly Haggerty, Fairfield
Fr., Port Chester, NY, Sacred Heart Greenwich
 
Haggerty had a six-point week for the #23 Stags, who downed Quinnipiac and Manhattan to stay unbeaten in MAAC play. She scored a goal in Wednesday's runaway win over the Bobcats, then rang up two goals and a career-best three assists in the Saturday win over the Jaspers.
 
The 2024 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship will take place between April 28 and May 5, 2024. The six-team, single-elimination tournament will open on Sunday, April 28 with the opening round hosted by the higher seed of each matchup. The semifinals and championship final will be hosted by the top overall seed in the field and will be played on Friday, May 3 and Sunday, May 5. Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
