NEW YORK, NY (Apr. 16, 2024) – 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) women’s basketball champions, Fairfield University headlined 2023-24 All-MET Division I Women’s Basketball honors announced on Tuesday by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association.
Two Stags won major awards, with head coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis being named as the All-MET Maggie Dixon Coach of the Year and Meghan Andersen was chosen as Rookie of the Year. Additionally, Janelle Brown was selected to the All-MET First Team, while Andersen also earned a spot on the All-MET Second Team.
The trio dominated MAAC honors during the season, with Thibault-DuDonis winning MAAC Coach of the Year, Brown earning MAAC Player of the Year, and Andersen being named the unanimous MAAC Rookie of the Year. Additionally, Brown and Andersen were unanimous selections to the All-MAAC First Team and Andersen also made the MAAC All-Rookie Team unanimously in 2023-24.

Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
