NEW YORK, NY (Apr. 17, 2024) – Four Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s basketball players have been named to a 2023-24 All-MET Division I Men’s Basketball Team announced on Wednesday by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association.
The trio of Jalen Leach from Fairfield University, Mervin James of Rider University, and Corey Washington from Saint Peter’s University were selected to the All-MET Second Team, and Fairfield’s Caleb Fields was named to the All-MET Third Team.
Leach, James (unanimous), and Washington were all members of the All-MAAC First Team, while Fields was on the All-MAAC Second Team.

Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
