Quinnipiac’s Apatiga, Siena’s Eimont, and Niagara’s Limbani Garner Rawlings MAAC Softball Weekly Awards

Player of the Week
Natalia Apatiga, Quinnipiac

Natalia Apatiga had a fantastic week for the Bobcats as she had a .480 batting average through six games this past week. Apatiga went 7-for-15 in the Saint Peter's series with five runs batted in, including a home run in the opening game of the series. In the series at Mount St. Mary's, Apatiga went 5-for-10 with a run batted in. Apatiga finished the week with a .500 on-base percentage and a .640 slugging percentage.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Alissa Eimont, Siena
R-So., Aberdeen, NJ, Matawan Regional
 
Eimont put forth a staggering 0.37 ERA in a perfect 3-0 week in the circle, tossing ten strikeouts completed to just two walks and allowing just a single earned run. She collected three complete game victories, with the latter two in the form of shutout wins.
 
Rookie of the Week
Natasha Limbani, Niagara
Fr., Ontario, Canada
 
Limbani led Niagara with a .412 average last week, going 7-for-17 at the plate with three RBI and five runs scored. The freshman also walked five times for an on-base percentage of .474.

Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
