MAAC Announces 2024 Women’s Tennis All-Academic Team

WEST WINDSOR, NJ (Apr. 19, 2024) – A total of 41 student-athletes were named to the 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women’s Tennis All-Academic Team, announced by the league office today.
 
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
 
Mount St. Mary’s University boasted a MAAC-leading eight honorees on the All-Academic Team. Fairfield University and Siena College followed with seven selections apiece, while Niagara University and Rider University each added six members. Closing out the team were Marist College with four student-athletes and Quinnipiac University with three.

The 2024 MAAC Men's & Women's Tennis Championships will take place on April 20-21 at Mercer County Park Tennis Center in West Windsor, NJ. The 2024 Championships will be the 12th consecutive time the event is held at Mercer County Park Tennis Center dating back to the 2012 MAAC Men's & Women's Tennis Championships. With 11 institutions strongly bound by the sound principles of quality and integrity in academics and excellence in athletics, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is in its 43rd year of competition during the 2023-24 academic year. Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
