Siena’s Duo of Petersen and Patille, Rider’s Reda-Fehsal Named Rawlings MAAC Softball Weekly Award Winners

Player of the Week
Emma Petersen, Siena

Petersen exploded with a .619 batting average including 13-21 with ten RBI's, five runs, one double, one triple, and two home runs. This included a 3-4 day with six runs batted in and a home run against Army West Point, and four multi-hit days - one with four hits and two with three hits. Petersen slugged 1.048 and held a .619 on-base percentage on the week.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Nicole Patille, Siena
Gr., Ocean View, DE, Laurel High School
 
Patille held a 1.34 ERA and a 2-0 record in four appearances last week, allowing just three earned runs with 20 strikeouts and only seven walks in 15.2 innings pitched. She fanned a career-high 11 batters at Delaware State in a 1-0 Siena win, while striking out eight in a complete-game win over Mount St. Mary's.
 
Rookie of the Week
Kendall Reda-Fehsal, Rider
Fr., Succasunna, NJ, Roxbury
 
Reda-Fehsal hit .375 (6-for-16) with two home runs, three RBI's and three runs scored in the Broncs' 2-3 week. She homered to begin the week against Princeton, before going 5-for-11 with another home run as the Broncs took 2-of-3 over Canisius. She also scored twice in the series.
