The Jasper’s last quarter comeback pushed Manhattan past Quinnipiac in the opening round of the MAAC Lacrosse Championship at Gaelic Field in Riverdale, N.Y. The No. 3 Jaspers outscored the No. 6 Bobcats 7-2 over the final 15 minutes to earn the postseason victory.
Manhattan Notes
-Manhattan got off to a quick start, scoring three unanswered goals in the first eight minutes of play.
- The Jasper offense outshot the Bobcats, 46-34 in total.
- Manhattan took an early 3-0 lead, then Quinnipiac scored seven straight to make it 7-3.
-In the fourth quarter, Manhattan scored nine of the final 11 goals to advance to the MAAC semifinals.
-In net, Connor Hapward saw 11 saves for the Jaspers.
Quinnipiac Notes
- Ryan Donnery led the Bobcat offense with three goals and two assists. John DeLucia, Dylan Donnery and Evan Perry each contributed two goals as well.
-The Bobcats saw a dominating second quarter, finding the back of the net three times and taking a four-point lead over Manhattan.
-Quinnipiac secured 16-17 clears on the day.
-Defensively, Mason Oak tallied 11 saves.

In an airtight game, Siena College was able to come out on top and win over Marist, 12-9, leading to a semifinal appearance on Thursday at Manhattan’s Gaelic Field in Riverdale, N.Y.
Siena Notes
-Seven Saints contributed to Siena’s victory over the Red Foxes. Freshman Caden Olmstead, Pratt Reynolds, Ryan McCarthy, Patrick Radomski, and Travis Fry all score two goals each while Jack Cavaioli and Will Edell contributed one goal each.
-A strong offensive effort in the fourth quarter pushed the Saints ahead. Siena scored three unanswered goals nine minutes into the fourth quarter. Marist answered with a goal with four minutes remaining on the clock, but Siena scored once more to secure the victory.
-In goal, Andrew Arcuri saw 12 saves on the day.
Marist Notes
-Jake Dacey got things started for the Red Foxes by scoring Marist’s first goal three minutes into the game. He was the Red Foxes' leading scorer, netting four goals.
-Five other Red Foxes contributed to Marist’s total (Patrick, Murray, Anderson, Colantonio, Bickel).
-Andersen dished out two helpers to help Marist's offense.
-Defensively, Noble Smith had nine saves.
