Rider’s Burgess and Quinnipiac’s Schulson Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Josh Burgess, Rider, Men's Track & Field
So., Ewing, NJ, Ewing HS

Burgess helped the Rider Men's Track & Field team to its second-straight MAAC Indoor Championship with a second-place finish in the long jump, before earning All-East with a fourth-place finish at IC4A Championships. To begin the outdoor season, he's posted a third-place finish at the Rider 5 Way and a second-place mark at the Sam Howell Invitational. Burgess has also achieved in the classroom with a 3.32 GPA as an accounting major.

Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Caroline Schulson, Quinnipiac, Women's Tennis
Fy., Newburyport, MA, Newburyport High School

Schulson has been a key member of the QU Women's Tennis team this spring. She went 1-0 last week winning her doubles match with partner Caitlin Flower in the Bobcats' 4-2 win over Siena at home. Her singles match was unfinished has the Bobcats had already clinched the match. Schulson is also 3-0 in MAAC so far this spring.
