Berkeley, CA - The Wagner College women's water polo team is slated to play Biola at the University of California at the Spieker Aquatic Center as a part of the First Round in the 2024 NCAA Women's Water Polo Tournament on Wednesday, May 8.
The Seahawks will square off with the Eagles in the tournament's only preliminary round, with a ball-drop set for 8 pm. The winner of the Wagner-Biola match-up with face #1 UCLA on Friday, May 10 at 6:00 pm.
Biola (14-16, 5-1) defeated East Gannon, Mercyhurst, and Cal State East Bay in the Western Water Polo Association Tournament to earn a trip to the big dance.
The Eagles are making a second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament, as Biola defeated LIU in the first round of the 2023 Tournament by a score of 10-8.
In his second season at the helm, head coach Josh Hower has led the Seahawks to a 29-4 record with an undefeated 12-0 mark in conference play, including a current seven-game win streak.
From Friday, May 10 to Saturday, May 11, all games from the tournament will be streamed on NCAA.com, while the National Championship will be aired on ESPNU on Sunday, May 12th at 7 pm.
