Player of the Week
Miah McDonald, Marist
Sr., Camp Hill, PA, Cedar Cliff
Miah McDonald homered in five straight games, drove in 13 runs, scored 12, and had a 1.727 OPS (1.227 slugging, .500 on-base) as Marist went 5-1 this past week. She hit safely in every game, scored a run in every game, and had three games with at least three RBIs. In the second game of a doubleheader at Saint Peter's on Tuesday, McDonald homered, tripled, and drove in four as Marist prevailed 12-8. The following day, she went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs in Marist's 14-4 triumph. In the first game of a doubleheader against Canisius on Saturday, McDonald belted a walk-off grand slam to give Marist a 7-3 win in eight innings. In game two, she homered, scored three runs, stole a base, and walked in another 7-3 Marist win. She then homered in her fifth straight game on Sunday as she went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and a stolen base.
Pitcher of the Week
Bailey Taylor, Fairfield
Sr., Seal Beach, Calif., Los Alamitos
Pitcher Bailey Taylor tossed two complete-game shutouts to lead the Stags to two wins in a three-game series against Quinnipiac. The senior did not allow a run in 14 innings of work including a nine-inning effort in a 1-0 win to split a doubleheader. She scattered six hits, fanned three and did not walk a batter over those nine innings. She came back and threw a five-inning complete game in a 9-0 victory over the Bobcats, yielding three hits and striking out three without allowing any walks. For the week, she pitched 14 innings, allowing no runs, striking out six with no free passes.
Rookie of the Week
Kendall Reda-Fehsal, Rider
Fr., Holl Succasunna, NJ, Roxbury
Freshman Kendall Reda-Fehsal hit .412 (7-17) with two doubles and six RBI's in the Broncs' 4-1 week. She hit safely in all five games, including a pair of two-hit efforts to open the week against Mount St. Mary's. She also drove in two in each of her first three games.
