Barnes and Talluto Named USA Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mentions

Both were unanimous All-MAAC First Team selections

SPARKS, Md. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse graduate students Lindsey Barnes and Elizabeth Talluto have been named USA Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mentions. The two Stags are the only MAAC student-athletes to earn the national distinction.
 
Barnes is now a two-time All-America Honorable Mention after garnering the same recognition in 2023. This spring, she was the only unanimous All-MAAC First Team defender as the anchor of a Fairfield defense that ranks seventh in the nation with 8.33 goals per game allowed. Individually, Barnes ranks 10 in the nation with 3.11 ground balls per game will slotting fourth in the MAAC and 32nd nationally at 1.83 caused turnovers per contest.
 
In her career, Barnes is one of only four Stags to reach the century mark in caused turnovers with 102 and slots sixth all-time with 139 ground balls.
 
Talluto was the MAAC Offensive Player of the Year and the only unanimous All-MAAC First Team attacker in 2024. She stands at 80 points on the season – third most in Fairfield single-season history – and ranks second with 223 in her career. Talluto is also second all-time in career goals at 163 and fifth in single-season goals with 56 markers this spring
 
Currently ranked #25 in the IWLCA Poll, Fairfield earned the first NCAA Championship at-large bid in MAAC Women's Lacrosse history with a 16-2 campaign that included wins over UConn, UAlbany and Drexel. The Stags will play #11 Johns Hopkins on Friday at 4 p.m. at Yale's Reese Stadium in the NCAA Championship First Round.
