EDISON, NJ (Aug. 22, 2024) – The 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s soccer regular season begins today with 12 total MAAC teams taking the pitch. In total, all 13 league teams will be in action during opening week with a combined 18 non-conference matchups on the docket.
Highlighting Thursday’s slate are a quartet of home games that will be hosted by Mount St. Mary’s, Niagara, Sacred Heart, and Siena. The Saints get things off and running with a 5:00 p.m. start against UMass. Then at 6:00 p.m., both Niagara and Sacred Heart are in action with the Purple Eagles welcoming UAlbany and the Pioneers hosting Holy Cross. The Mount will close out the four home matches with a 7:00 p.m. kick-off against Binghamton.
On Friday night, Fairfield will play in a standalone game at 7:00 p.m., visiting former MAAC-member Monmouth.
Opening weekend concludes on Sunday with five contests on the schedule. Headlining the weekend’s quintet of matches will be a home game for Mount St. Mary’s against Robert Morris at 4:00 p.m.

The 2024 MAAC Men’s Soccer Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 10-17, 2024. Each match during the championship will be hosted by the higher seed and all rounds of the championship will reseed. The quarterfinals will take place on Sunday, November 10, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 14, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 17.
