EDISON, NJ (Aug. 29, 2024) – The 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) volleyball non-conference campaign starts this weekend with 10 out of 12 conference teams in action. All 10 squads taking the court this weekend will be participating in multi-team tournaments from Friday through Sunday.
The MAAC institutions in action will include Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Marist College, Merrimack College, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Sacred Heart University, and Siena College.
The Golden Griffins will be traveling to Syracuse, NY for the Salt City Classic, hosted by Le Moyne. The defending MAAC Champions and preseason favorites, Fairfield Stags will trek to Provo, UT to participate in the doTerra Classic. The Gaels will head north to Boston College for the BC Invitational in Chestnut Hill, MA. The Red Foxes will play at the ODU Quest for the Crown, hosted by Old Dominion in Norfolk, VA. The Warriors of Merrimack will partake in the Binghamton Invitational in Vestal, NY. The Purple Eagles will be in Queens, NY for the Red Strom Invitational, hosted by St. John’s. Traveling the farthest south for the weekend opener will be the Bobcats of Quinnipiac, competing in Jacksonville, FL in the North Florida Invitational. The Broncs will be a part of the Temple Invitational field out in Philadelphia, PA. The Pioneers remain local, traveling to Storrs, CT to participate at in-state foe UConn’s Invitational. The Saints wrap up MAAC weekend action with the Skyhawk Invitational, hosted by Stonehill in Easton, MA.

The 2024 MAAC Volleyball Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 21-24, 2024 at UHY Center in Loudonville, NY on the campus of Siena College. The first round will take place on Thursday, November 21, followed by the second round on Friday, November 22, the semifinals on Saturday, November 23, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 24.
