Graduate student opposite hitter Elena Giacomini started both matches for the Bobcats at the Dartmouth Invitational and recorded 39 total kills, 18 digs, and 4 service aces. Giacomini recorded a team-high 24 kills and 11 digs in the final match of the weekend to record a double-double.
Setter of the Week
Gaby Zovko, Sacred Heart

Sophomore setter Gaby Zovko led the Pioneers with 81 assists (8.10/set) was second on the team with 16 kills (1.60/set) at the Buc Dome Invitational. She tallied 26 assists against Norfolk State and Western Illinois. Zovko's best performance was a triple-double against Charleston Southern in a four-set SHU win. She tallied 29 assists, 10 kills and 10 digs. She is now one eight players with multiple triple-doubles this season.
Libero of the Week
Miliani Villarreal, Sacred Heart
Fr., Murrieta, Calif., Vista Murrieta
First year libero Millani Villarreal continued to command the Pioneers' defense with a team-leading 54 digs (5.40/set) over three matches at the Buc Dome Invitational. She tallied double-digit kills in all three matches of the tournament, posting 27 in a four-set win over Charleston Southern. Villarreal also tallied 17 digs in three sets against Western Illinois.
Rookie of the Week
Salme Adeele Hollas
R.-Fr., Tartu, Estonia, Hugo Treffneri Gümnaasium
Redshirt freshman Salme Adeele Hollas broke out this past weekend by being named to the Dartmouth Invitational All-Tournament playing in just her third and fourth career matches with the Saints against Providence and host Dartmouth. She totaled 20 kills on a .300 hitting percentage to go along with 16 digs, and six total blocks.
The 2024 MAAC Volleyball Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 21-24, 2024 at UHY Center in Loudonville, NY on the campus of Siena College. The first round will take place on Thursday, November 21, followed by the second round on Friday, November 22, the semifinals on Saturday, November 23, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 24.
