Niagara’s York and Fairfield’s Snayd Win Jersey Mike’s MAAC Cross Country Weekly Awards

Men’s Runner of the Week
Braden York, Niagara
Gr., Auburn, NY, Port Byron

Graduate student Braden York posted a 20th-place finish at the 2024 National Catholic Invitational in South Bend, IN. York finished with a personal best and program record time of 24:24.00 in the 8k race. He was the first non-ranked runner to cross the line at the event.
 
Women’s Runner of the Week
Hannah Snayd, Fairfield
Fr., Newtown, CT, Newtown
 
Hannah Snayd finished second in a 109 runner field at the Ted Owen Invitational. Snayd completed the 5K course in 17:23.9, a new personal best for that distance.
 
The 2024 MAAC Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, New York on Saturday, November 2, 2024. The men’s 8k race will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the women’s 6k race will follow at 12:00 p.m. 2024 will mark the second straight year that the championship races will be held at Twin Ponds on the Farm and the meets will be hosted by Manhattan University for the 30th time.
